rikm Bruno Sanfilippo has always been an artist who's work inspires imaginary imagery and head movies. On "Solemnis" his talents are on full display, a beautiful example of cinematic ambience that brings to mind lush landscapes and stunning cinematography.

Highly recommended...

Sven B. Schreiber This music is solemn indeed, just like the album title suggests. It's a perfectly sounding, excellently arranged suite for synth orchestra, which I file under "new age". Bruno Sanfilippo recorded this album in the last years of his time in Argentina, where he was born. Since 2000, he resides in Spain. Favorite track: Suplicant.

about

'Solemnis' was composed and released through Sanfilippo's personal Label ad21 in Buenos Aires, just the year of its foundation, in 1998. This work was opportunely presented in Compact Disc (1.000 copies). In the creation process Bruno used - as in the previous two albums still discontinued - a MIDI sequencer Alesis MMT-8, a Kawai K4r synthesizer, the Ensoniq EPS 16+ sampler, the EMU Proteus 2 and 3, and an Alesis Quadraverb processor, today those are clearly vintage...
